Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Everything about the programs we fund, who they're for, and how giving works. If we missed something, we're one message away.

What does the program do?

A resilience building program — usually six months long — delivered one-on-one with a personal coach. It is structured brain-performance and mental-resilience training that works on sleep, focus, and how the nervous system handles stress. It is months of steady work, bringing veterans and first responders down out of the elevated, fight-or-flight state the job demanded of them, and back to a brain built for daily life.

Who is the program for?

High-consequence operators: active-duty military, veterans, EMS and firefighters, law enforcement, and the families of each. We work with individuals and with organizations. If you are a leader who wants to bring programs to your people, fill out the Request Support form and let's talk.

Request Support
How long does it take, and how much time does it need each week?

Programs run either 24 or 52 weeks. The work is designed to fit around a job, a shift rotation, or a deployment schedule rather than requiring someone to step away from their life.

Is this therapy or medical treatment?

No. These are brain-performance and resilience programs, not medical or psychiatric care, and they are not a replacement for treatment from a licensed provider. Many participants take part alongside other care they are already receiving.

Do I have to travel anywhere?

No. Coaching is delivered remotely, so participants can take part from wherever they live and work.

Is it confidential?

Yes. What a participant works through stays between them and their coach. There is no report to a chain of command, a department, or an employer.

What does it cost to participate?

Victory Heights Foundation covers the cost for eligible program participants. Organizations may be eligible for a pilot program.

Do I need a diagnosis to take part?

No. You do not need a diagnosis, a disability rating, or a referral. Plenty of participants come in simply because they are not sleeping, their fuse is short, or they do not feel like themselves.

Can family members take part?

Families are part of the picture. When sleep returns and stress eases, the whole household feels it — so we treat spouses and children as part of the mission, not an afterthought.

Who is Victory Heights Foundation?

A 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 93-2329799) founded by LeAnn Boesch in honor of her grandfather, Paul G. Rearden, a World War II prisoner of war. The foundation pays for those who serve to go through resilience building programs.

What is Mission Restored?

Our signature initiative. Dave Boesch, a retired Special Forces veteran, is restoring a 1971 Camaro SS with a brotherhood of veterans and first responders. The build is documented by ZULU Garage, and the car will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in January 2027 — with the proceeds funding programs.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Victory Heights Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 93-2329799). Your gift is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law, and a receipt is emailed to you.

Where does my money actually go?

95 cents of every dollar goes to funding participant programs, with the remainder covering the operations and fundraising that keep the foundation running. See Managing Our Funds for the breakdown.

Can I give monthly instead of all at once?

Yes, and it is the most useful way to give. Recurring gifts let us deliver more programs with confidence, because we can see the funding ahead of us.

Will my company match my gift?

Many employers match charitable donations dollar-for-dollar, which doubles what your gift can fund. Ask your HR team, and see our Partners page if your company wants to go further.

Can I give in honor or memory of someone?

Yes. You can dedicate a gift to someone who served, and we will record the dedication with your donation.

How do I know my gift is being used well?

Our financial statements and IRS Form 990 are available on request, and our board provides governance and oversight. Ask us for the latest documents any time.
